CLASS OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE APPROACH FOR WIND FARM OWNERS
KEC is managing a Dutch consortium developing a
world class approach for the exploitation of wind farms. Advanced
technologies and methodologies are demonstrated for optimizing the
operations & maintenance (O&M) of various wind farm, with different
types of wind turbines, on- and offshore.
Focus on the consortium is on new maintenance concepts based on Condition Based Maintenance, Remote Monitoring, Control Room Technologies and fully digitized Maintenance Management Systems.
Pilots to demonstrate the latest maintenance concepts and technologies will commence in March 2012. Pilots will be performed on both conventional and direct drive wind turbines.
